At The Top
Online games are still so much fun to play even after all this time. I can spend hours doing absolutely nothing productive while playing rousing games online. Don’t sit there and act like you do not do the exact same thing that I do. People probably spend more hours doing random things like surfing the web or playing games than they actually spend working. Some of the best online games can be found at Pogo.com. They have all the games like Bookworm and Bejeweled that can rope you in for hours at a time. Before you know it you will not even have noticed that it is already five o’clock and time to leave work. What are…
The Joy of Gaming
From the time I was old enough to start playing any kind of video games, way back in the 1970s to be exact, I was keenly aware of the joy that gaming brought me. Even the very primitive (by today’s standards) Pong, a game that had a sort of deck accessory that had to be connected to a television set and played using paddles, delighted me to no end. Back then of course I could not have seen what lay ahead in the world of gaming, how advanced modern consoles would become.
Patent Wars
Mobile platform gamers, regardless of whether they prefer iOS or Android (or, more remotely, Windows Phone or Blackberry) have plenty of choices when it comes to a variety of decent games for their hand held devices, many of which are free and most that do cost something are inexpensive. This is largely due to the fact that the game programmers feel all warm and fuzzy about wildly popular mobile operating systems with billions of users who are just chomping at the bit to download their latest creations, and the fact that the smart phone and tablet technology continues to get better and better. Until, of course, two giants in the field, Apple and Samsung, decide…
What We Want for Christmas
The 2011 Christmas shopping and gifting season is now in full swing, and there’s plenty of data concerning what tops most peoples’ list of wished for gifts this year. It cannot be denied that the holidays have changed over the years. Gone are the days of Beanie Babies and action figures. Modern kids want technology, in the form of gadgets, music devices, and yes, video games. Adults are interested in video games and other “intangibles” too, such as money, gift certificates for online goods like playing time in World of Warcraft, e-book and software or app downloads, and other things like adt that are not physical objects. Let’s take a look at what are expected…
Tracking From Dust
When I first saw the trailer for game play of the PC game From Dust I was pumped. This is such an interesting take of nature and survival, and playing it is incredible. You are the one who is responsible for the fate of a tribe of people who are living in an ever evolving and changing world. In this world you are up against nature, and how you can take charge over what nature throws at you is the only way that you can help the tribe to continue living. The tribe will have to go up against things like tsunamis, earthquakes, rainfall, and much more.

The Week in Tech: Google+ Games
Google+ finally rolled its online social games addition as an added feature earlier this week. Google owns a stake in Zynga games as one of its biggest investors, and Google+ adding Zynga (and Angry Birds) to it’s online offerings is a natural extension of that relationship. It’s also a move that could pose an impressive threat to Facebook and its social gaming.
History of Online Gaming Infographic
Did you ever stop in the middle of your campaign in World of Warcraft, smile to yourself, and wonder: ”where did all this come from?” Hopefully not, or your character might have been robbed blind (or worse in a PVP area!) but at some point in time you have probably thought about the history of online gaming.
